Steering

Hi.

I have problems with the steering on my Dax Cobra.
The car has a poor turning circle , it will be nice if it could turn a little bit more. The steering rack is placed in front of the suspension ( below). The suspension is Jaguar , I don't now the make of the steering rack. What do I do ?
When I turn (full) , one of the front wheels is sliding/pumping over the ground. Whats wrong ?
I hope you can help , I thank you in advance.

RE: Steering

Hi Steen,
I'm afraid the Dax does have a poor turning circle as standard, it's made worse by the width of the wheels we use. The turning angle is limited by the inside of the tyre more or less clashing with the lower arm I think it is.
The steering rack is Daxes own and not a donor part (or so Dax tell me) I asked them because I was interested in converting to Power Steering and wondered what rack I could use.
IT sounds like in your case you may have your geometry set incorrectly you need to check the camber, castor and alignment.
