Clutch Master Cylinder Pipework

I believe I have the standard Dax supplied Lockheed clutch master cylinder.
Has anyone changed from Hard copper tubing to –03 flexible tubing? If so, what adapter did you use? I cannot easily identify the thread (could be 7/16” UNF but not sure) & of course the adapter needs to be the correct profile to seal to the master cylinder take-off.
Thanks,
Baldric

RE: Clutch Master Cylinder Pipework

Steve, Thanks for info.
What style of adapter did you use to seal to output port?
I was thinking of -3 fittings for my output, why are you using -4?

The output thread was 3/8 and that matched up with -4 fittings.Clutch is fine so cant be too far wrong.I think its a 3/8 male/male with statoseal washer and a -4 90 degree.

RE: Clutch Master Cylinder Pipework

Thanks for the help Steve,
Got it all sorted now. Could not understand how new adaptors sealed to the clutch port original seal face. Clearly they do not, instead they use a compression seal under the head of the adaptor.

RE: Clutch Master Cylinder Pipework

I used a banjo connection on the outlet sealed with a couple of copper washers.

RE: Clutch Master Cylinder Pipework

Kev
I agree in hindsight that would be a tidier arrangement.
