| Dax Wet Weather Gear Hi People Bought a dax earlier this year and didn't come with the wet weather gear. So I ordered one from Dax and it arrived today. Only one snag...you guessed it ...no fitting destructions. Think I could eventually figure it out but thought a post on here would be far easier and much quicker. Can anybody scan a blow up diagram or something and a step by step guide so I don't stress my poor wee brain too much. Oh and one more thing my 1984 Dax has a stainless side vent missing (near side). The Dax ones are different these days, any chance anyone might have one knocking about. Thanks in advance. :thumb:

| Re: Dax Wet Weather Gear Think I've figured it. Two major questions though. Do I need a special tool to make holes in the hood for the fastners and how do I attach the windscreen bows to the hood? Any help will be much appreciated.

| Re: Dax Wet Weather Gear Hi, Some guys have used a punch tool, others a bradle or cut a cross in the cloth with a very sharp knife. I've also just checked the latest manual from Dax and quote: Slot in the hood bows halves. If the windscreen support is already fitted it will be neccesary to slacken off the support and slide it sideways to allow the bow halve retaining pins to locate properly. Fit the hood to the body studs, then from inside the car attach the velco wraps around the hood frame. And that's it |

| Re: Dax Wet Weather Gear If you need a tool to fit the popper parts to the cover visit a boat shop marina or boat trim maker. They will seel you punches that do it all in one go and you can get spare bits when they break in lots of 5 or similar-all stainless too so dont deteriorate.Stan(New boy who finaly knew something that might help)
