Hello all,

Joy and I are safely back from our Canadian trip. No broken arms or legs this year, just a nearly broken bank balance. The transfer bus stopped for a bathroom break right next to a NAPA Autoparts store on the way home. It was as much as I could do to stop myself wondering in and browsing. I think the security scanners at Calgary Airport would have been rather too interested in metally bits with wires coming out of them.
We spent most mornings hitching a lift up to the ski hill. There are no MOT’s in Canada, it is amazing what is allowed to wander about the highways. Just think no brake, suspension or steering checks. Scary.


Happenings on the Farm.

Well not much to report on the farm this month. The sugarbeet have all gone. Some tiles gone missing from the barn. I have and extensive list of ‘just jobs’ to do. And some parcels of shiny bits from the states to attach to cars.
I still need to get the doors made for the new workshop as well.

Last Month
I trust you all found Andy at the Cratfield Poacher last month. I have not yet had a chance to get the gossip from him. I should be able to catch up with you all at the Horseshoes this Sunday.


Monthly Meets. (third Sunday 12:00ish)


February 18th.

Deputy in charge will be Mark Bright. Mark has been slowly replacing all the componetry on his BRA289. Soon there will be little left of the car he originally swapped for a roller skate.

March 18th.

May be a bit short on parking spaces, so an early arrival would be recommended.
Deputy in charge, subject to contract, will be Cefin Mobbs. Cefin is famous for filling his engine with multigrade, fully synthetic paranoia before heading off to Le Mans for the first time in his GD.

It has been brought to my attention that the March meet will clash with Mothering Sunday as usual.
I have also been unable to agree terms with my intended deputy for the day.
With this in mind I would suggest we shift the meet either one week earlier or one week later at the same venue.

What say you?

I will have a word with those out and about this Sunday and see if I can renegotiate terms for deputation.
