| East Anglia Region Newsletter. December the newsletter of the Cobra Replica Club East Anglia region 2007 December 2007 Hello all, Last Month Not the most promising of forecasts for the meet last month but there were still a few hardy souls that made the trip out to the Hoxne Swan to enjoy a pint and a chat. I made the trip with the roof off and arrived in good time to fit the top with my cold hands before the rain came. Since I have sold my Dax I am now short of a tonneau. Also making the trip roofless were Guy & Phil (Sumo) and Cefin & Anne (GD) but Mark Bright came up with some sort of excuse about a flat battery. We were also joined by Andy Edmunds, Colin & Belinda as well as David Horsenell who held a car boot sale in the car park as he was having a bit of a clearout. This prompted a suggestion of a bit of a swap meet next spring. Another open day at Bressingham could be on the cards I think. This Month. December 16th. The Gamekeeper, Old Buckenham, The Green, NR17 1RE (01953 860 397). I seem to remember when we last visited this pub I was stiffed for an outstanding bar tab from one of our number! To avoid this I will be hosting the meet from a remote position up a mountain in France. Joy’s Niece and partner have decided to have some fun by running a Ski Chalet in La Rosiere for the season and we were offered the opportunity of the opening week at a very cheap rate. So you will have to make do without me. Workshop News The V8 Aston Replica is nearing completion of body and will soon be off to the paint shop, whilst the remaining chassis work is completed. The Goodwood car has ground to a halt due to a shortage of labour at the panel shop. It should be ready to return back to Norfolk sometime in the New Year. Monthly Meets. (Third Sunday 12:00ish) As I will be sliding down mountains for the next few meets, it would be useful if some of you could volunteer to host the meets at a location of your choice. Our Christmas meal is now all booked up. There may be a couple of spaces left if you are very quick. I will take this opportunity to wish those of you not coming a very happy Christmas and New Year. I hope Santa makes full use of the favourable exchange rate and brings lots of shiny bits to rest under the tree. Many thanks and Bye for now. Andy.
