Short oil filter

My exhaust is rubbing on the bottom of the oil filter (K&N 5.5"long).
Does anyone know of a manufacturer/part number of a shorter oil filter for SBC.(13/16"-16 screw on connection)?

You don`t have to be mental to build a kitcar - but it definitely helps.

Re: Short oil filter

You really should consider a remote oil filter.

The shorty versions don't have much filtering area, which leads to the bypass valve opening more frequently, which means - no filtering.

Thanks John but I was hoping I could get/order something decent from the local motor factors to save postage for a couple of filters, but I need a manufacturer/part number.

Thanks for that Wilf.
That is the next option if I can`t find a performance filter that fits.
