Which Waterpump for chevy 350

Hey guys can anyone assist me in what water pump i should order i think i have limited it down to 3, I choose Short style over Long as i wasnt sure but the main problem is 2 of them are coutner clockwise and one is clockwise not sure which one ill need i think my block was made around 1976ish.

this is the pulley set i have it fits short pumps only so im definetly on the right line but dosent say anything about clockwise or anticlockwise

After some more reading and research i think i have made a decision and beleive this one is right for my engine and pulley system.

Same on my 383 - long style fitted Watch out with the short versions that you have enough space far the alternator.

So far as rotation is concerned:

Clockwise if you are using ordinary V belts and pulleys (where the v belt runs around the outside and over the top of the water pump pulley)

Anti-clockwise if you are using a flat "serpentine" drive belt.


Sooo.... the one you gave a url for from Summit is the wrong rotation for the pulley set you indicate.

I used the following on my 383 - EDL8811 waterpump and MCH22010 pully kit

You definately need a long fitted, I had a short fitted when I bought the engine and there's no way (without a load of hassle) that you can fit the alternator with the standard brackets. :thumb:
