spark plug gap

Hello,
could any body tell me what the spark plug gap should be,I am running ford 302 5lt 1991 block . gt40 heads,with mallory breakerless distributor,there seems to be quite a difference in gap sizes,
also is there any one in the west midlands area where i can get the engine tuned up by some one who knows about these engines,

I can-not help personelly but I would suggest that you speak to the following company. They are very good with american engines, they sorted mine out for me.

Colin - not totally familiar with the Mallory system, but if it is a capacitive discharge system like the MSD 6 units, then you can open the plug gaps up to 55 thou, providing your compression ratio is 9.5 or less.

Come down 5 or so thou for every half point of additional CR.

standard dizzy system i used to run them at 30 to 35 thou
