Where can I get a 6 rib pulley?!?!??

Dear All

Currently rebuilding a cut-out SBC350 and it came without a water pump pulley. Alternator and crank pulleys are 6 rib and the water pump is the long type.

So, .... I need a 6 rib pulley for long water pump. But can I find one anywhere!!!! None of the usual suppliers appear to do them.

Therefore can anyone suggest a supplier that can provide one of these hens teeth?

FYI the engine is 1992.

Thanks as always for your advice!!!:thumb:

Regards

John

Why don't you use a normal V belt and pulleys?? If not, you need the march setup/pulley kit from Summit Racing.:thumb:

Re: Where can I get a 6 rib pulley?!?!??

Thanks for the input.

Hmm. Thought about that but I think I would need new pulleys everywhere else and I can't get the pully off the alternator so I may have to get another alternator so I am currently trying to go with the 6 rib option.

I'll check out the summit option........

You could try Huddart engines (01270 811427) He gets all sorts of used bits over from the States on a regular basis and might be able to get what you need put in one of his shipments. Probably your cheapest option.

Re: Where can I get a 6 rib pulley?!?!??

john
the water pump pulleys where on the later engines not ribbed, the back of the belt drove them. the water pump was a reverse rotation pump and by changing it to a ribbed configuration it should run backwards, not particularly good.check you have the correct water pump and March make a set of ribbed pulleys .You can get serpentine conversion pulleys but you would need again a correct rotation water pump.if you need a price on a set of pulleys please send me an email.
