| put my engine factory engine in the pilgrim about a month ago and it started first turn of the key flames shot out about a foot nearly s**t myself what a noise its started first turn ever since got the water hoses and rad on last week and ran it hot for the first time hope yours arrives soon and is just as good as mine steve |

Re-prime the oiling circuit either by dizzy out or not as good, by taking the HT lead off and cranking to get some oil pressure (not too long though). If an engine has been stood some time, particularly if rigged, the engine build lubricant has been displaced by the oil which will migrate even from close tolerance interfaces due to gravity over time. | thanks mikey I did run it up with the plugs out a couple of times before I started it and thanks to all those who posted threads about first starts of an engine and all the other hints and tips. I now spend nearly as long reading posts before I start each phase of the build as I do working on the car. you stareing at my pink bits?! I didn't think it was that sort of site. thanks for the advise steve |
