| LS1 rebuild Anybody have any experience of rebuilding an LS1. I've seen an engine relatively cheap with 84k miles on it (ebay). Can't afford a new one so thought this might be a good option for my one component reconditioned as new. Are parts easy to obtain, any pitfalls to watch out for, any idea of a rough cost and what's likely to need doing ? etc. etc many thanks Ryan

| Barely run in!!! Parts are readily available from the States. Some Vauxhall dealers may carry parts that fit as the LSx engine was used in the Monaro

| Ryan, You're fine as long as you don't have to go down the re-bore route, the LS1's are a bit of a special beast in this area so you may struggle to find anyone you would trust to do the work over here. All the other re-con bits are readily available (mail order from the US)- it's just a posh SBC after all Rgds Jim |
