Question RPM Manifold threaded hole size.

Gents,

Ive done the usual hunt of the forum. I can find references to the use of the two big holes into the water jacket at the front of a Edelbrock RPM manifold on a Ford 302 (heater take off and temp sender take off) but I cant find what thread size and type they are.

Can anyone help out? Ive tried ringing Edelbrock but gave up (I now know there hold ads very well!)

Many Thanks!

Cheers for quick response!

Two options appearing... Would the 3/8 or 1/2 be measureable as the diameter of the hole?

From memory, NPT threads are classified according to the internal diameter of the pipe they served, so a 3/8" NPT thread has a larger diameter than 3/8", possibly more than 1/2".

So whilst there is a relationship between the thread descriptor and the hole diameter, it is not direct.

'Serving pipes' and not being able to put your finger in holes all sounds a bit gay to me

One of the last pages of the aeroquip catalogue has silhouettes of the various male fittings - NPT and Others - I think it was to scale.

..... On reflection this is only usefull if you had said catalogue
