holly carb bolts

can any body tell me the size of bolt i need to attach my carb to an edelbrock performer manifold please , and is it possible to re-locate the alternator ? it looks like the top of the alternator will foul the bonnet when i finally get the body somewhere like where it should be , cheers jim , its rv8 by the way

There should be 4 studs already fitted to the manifold ... I don't know what thread they are (possibly non-metric), but they are a coarse thread ... I wouldn't use bolts as the studs help locate the base gasket, any spacers and the carb.

As Dave said, They are usually studs.

They have a course UNC thread on one end and a fine UNF thread on the other. Both are 5/16 I believe.

A 5/16 UNC bolt would work just as well but it will be a bit more fiddly to align the gaskets.
