| Personally I wouldn't touch the Bars one as I have seen that it can clog cooling channels in the rad. I used to have a 4.2 Range Rover that cracked a liner after the water pump failed and it overheated. I brought a new engine, but as a temporary measure I brought one of these. Cargo Seal Up It cost about £10 and I thought it might slow down the water loss until I got time to change the engine. I kept the Range Rover for 3 years after that and never changed the engine and never needed to top it up with water either. Very impressed for £10 My fathers 3.9 Range Rover had a weep from one of the core plugs recently, that would have required the engine out to replace. I tried the new version that can be mixed with antifreeze K-seal with the same result. Great products. Craig.

| Personally I wouldn't use it ever, if there is a leak there are no short cuts that don't come at a cost

| Ive used radweld in the past, mixes with anti freeze and doesnt 'cure' and block anywhere that its not exposed to air (ie a leak); Im not saying its the most perfect cure, as Tink says fixing it properly is best, but it does work.

| If its a temporary fix you need - cos you will replace the leaking part when convenient - why not try the age old fix - egg white in the system ! - usually enough to get you home and as its organic does not cause long term blockages.

| Thanks for your replies, I feel a bit reluctant about using the "Bar's" product I know that fixing is the real solution but time is an important factor for me this month.
