| S/B Ford/Chevy Rockers Hi wondered if anyone might be able to help I am trying to figure out if S/B rockers from either Ford 289/302/351 or Chevy 262-400 will fit on a Ford Essex V6. I think Chevy 350 might possibly be the best fit as they have a very similar rocker ratio of 1.5:1 were as Ford ones look to be 1.6 or 1.7 Anyway if anyone has a spare/old rocker they could send me so I can do some checks that would be most appreciated. Can return once I have check things over. Or maybe someone out there knows. Obviously the guy on ebay does, but he is happy to keep it to himself. BUT Why?? Your asking yourselves.. I want to upgrade to roller rockers. Roller rockers $80 a set for S/B from US, more like £200-250+VAT for inferior set to fit Essex here. Saw some PRW look-a-like roller rockers on ebay to fit Essex V6, which started me thinking..Also look like S/B Ford/Chevy rockers from RPM. Many Thanks, David Essex rockers on ebay:- Ford Essex V6 Roller Tipped Rockers, Capri, TVR, AC ME on eBay, also, Ford, Classic Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 23-Sep-08 20:00:00 BST) RPM: Chevy 262-400 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Rolle...3623QQtcZphoto RPM: Ford 289/302/351 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=120305653595 |

| Thanks for the info Jeremy.. Do you happen to know if V8 Chevy and Ford rockers are similar apart from rocker ratio? Thinking Chevy ones maybe the ones to try. Interesting what you say about the rocker posts... I was going to roll pin mine in, but was adviced that it wasn't required by a local engine builder. Think I may reconsider after what you say. I haven't quite got your spec yet but close, apart from milder 290 kent cam and a 40DFI5 carb at the moment, but was planning 48IDF convertion later on, so probably best to sort out the rocker posts now. Many Thanks, David |

| Sorry, my (limited) experience with V8s only extends to the Chevy. This is the linky for Yella Terra Yella Terra - Part details Regards Jeremy
