a&r power amp

Has anyone fitted one of these units from rpi?
If so are they any good and worth fitting or just a gimmick?
It would be added to a mallory dual point converted to a pertronix ignitor and mallory coil on a 3.5 rv8

My experience after fitting it to a Range Rover with an electronic ignition distributor was it made F**K all difference and then stopped working completely after about 500 miles.
I eventually got my money back and returned to the standard little box on the side of the distributor that had already run for 100K miles and ran another 20K faultlessly.

It was about that time I stopped listening to RPI's advise too and went elsewhere for parts.

If you already have it running with the Pertronix system on it, It isn't going to get any better.

Hope that helps

Craig.
