Looking good, don't envy you sorting out that wiring loom!!

Are you going to paint the block, or polish it up nice and shiny?

I take it you have not decided on the car colour yet? just keep saying blue and white, blue and white, blue and.............. you know it makes sense!

Thats a pretty wide engine, i didnt realise the lexus was a 90 degree V, no wonder he is having room issues

I think the ideal angle for a V8 is 90° You can get away with 60° on V6 and V12 motors but the majority of 8's are 90°
TVR spoilt that though with their V8 and a 72° angle but that had a flat plain crank so was in effect two, straight 4's next to each other sharing a crank. That was a horrid engine though, sounded like a can of nails being rattled when running and the vibration made it look like it was trying to escape the car!

I didn't realise the Lexus had a timing belt, I'd be changing that every year as I'm paranoid about those bloody things breaking but as you say Col, Pretty wide.

Dax Tojeiro, + 355 Chevy + Tremec box = In storage and possibly for sale, make an offer...
DB Hardtop still in the garage.
Polishes to date = On hold.

Thanks for posting the pictures up lester,as you can see i have stripped the engine of the wiring loom injectors sensors etc and am in the middle of replacing the timing belt and tensioners and fitting a new waterpump,i have also modified the sump to give me a bit more clearance around the main chassis rails,as regards to the wiring i have removed over 40 wires that are not required from the 100 or so in the engine loom ,
i will be polishing the engine with it being all aluminium and powdercoating the plenham chamber and rocker covers,as regards to the body colour i saw a nice deep red that i liked.......but you know me and colours and until its actually being pushed into the spray booth anything can happen, and yes it is a big but hey ho who wants a little'un and its more fun trying to squeeze a big one in.
