| Rover Diagnostic Socket & Pip Sensor Hi Everyone Can anyone please tell me what the Diagnostic Socket and Pip Sensor is used for on the Rover 3.5 V8 engine ? Do i need to bolt this sensor & Socket back on to my engine or is it not required ? I have attached a couple of pictures out of the Rover manual to show the socket and pip sensor. Any advise would be appreciated !! Regards Allan      |

| RE: Rover Diagnostic Socket & Pip Sensor Absolutely f*** all in the way your going to use the engine. Throw it all, including tracing the wires back, in the bin and tidy the front of the engine up a bit. Russ It actually gives some rudimentry engine diagnostic function and speed signal. I doubt if anyone still has an operational Sinclair Spectrum to plug into it!! |
