| SD1 'box noise Any ideas about this noise? Clicking /rattle when in gear and moving (not neutral)- push stick forwards and it goes. Have taken out lever - anti rattle spring and nylon bit looks OK. How do you know if this isn't working properly? What else to check? Recently the ball cap flange broke and I replaced it - any connection? Any suggestions welcome!       |

__________________ Best Regards Robert My Son had a toy steering wheel which he used to spin furiously, making loads of go-faster noises, leaning into all the tight corners, perhaps running the government feels a bit like that. You make all the noises, but when you stop you haven't really gone anywhere. |

| RE: SD1 'box noise Is it in one gear particularly? Is it 'rythmic' - in time with road speed, does it speed up/slow down with changes of speed etc? Does it stop if you just hold lever without loading it against the 'gate'? ??? Russ |

| RE: SD1 'box noise Russ - it stops if you hold it against the gate but not if you just steady the lever. Seems to increase with road speed and in all gears. |
