Oil Pump Area

Hi Guys,

Ive attached a couple of piccys of my oil pump and circled in red some areas Im not sure of.

area 1 - is that where my oil pressure gauge goes in ?

area 2 - dont know what this is for, temp or something?

area 3 - looks like it maybe something although I bet its a hole for a bolt:+

Im sure somebody knows what Im looking at there, give us a clue

Ben
Have you got any darker pictures,I can almost make these out.
When I get home I'll dig my spare oil-pump assembly out and try to identify the ports for you.

RE: Oil Pump Area

Ben,

Port 1 - correct - mechanical oil pressure guage take-off.

Port 2 - In here you will find the oil pressure regulator spring and piston, you're picture looks like it might be the adjustable type (after maket bit - but a bit hard to tell from the dark photo! perhaps not, on a second, closer look)

Hole 3 - I think you'll find is a blind bolt hole.

See attached for the other ports you haven't queried.

Russ

Beat me to it. Before I changed mine to a remote filter I drilled and re-tapped the blanking plug hole you hi-lite, to fit my oil temp gauge,it worked fine.
