Cam shaft

I have a re-built RV8 engine, not by me, sat in my Sumo chassis.
It has been re-built useing a standard cam. I would like to fit a Typoon cam or similar.
Question is, after reading the Haynes manual, Is this advisable.
They make a lot of the fact that the cam shaft bearings could be damaged when removing/re-fitting the cam shaft.
Any thoughts?

RE: Cam shaft

No problem taking out and re-fitting but look on one of the Rover type sites for the right cam for you.Try RPI's site.
