| RE: Overheating I went for the 3 core from GD. I could have got away with a 2 core but figured it wasn't worth skimping on the cooling system. Now the temp never goes above 92 either in town or at Elvington on the track day |

| RE: Overheating Oh bu**er it. I was rather hoping yours was a 2 core. Mine's from GD aswell which means it's a 3 core too. Guess I'm in need of more thought into this one. PS Hope 'er indoors is OK now Cheers Richard (Hillclimb convert)

| RE: Overheating I don't mean to sound smug, but I am suprised by the problems people have with overheating. I have a 5.0L RV8 block in my DAX. The system runs through a spitfire heater (mounted behind the dash)and has a standard SD1 radiator in the nose of the DAX. When running, the temperature if anything runs too cold. The nose really needs blocking off somewhat as the 'coolness' is directly related to the ambient temerature. Cooling when standing still is taken care of by the usual Kenlowe with a sensor threaded into the top hose adjustable control unit to get the correct 'on-off' setting for the fan. Only problems I ever get for overheating is in this type of extremely hot weather and then only if in M25 start-stop traffic. I have an SD1 expansion bottle mounted on the front chassis cross member in the front of the engine bay and the 'top-up' for the system is in a pipe that connects to the engine just above the stat. housing. Air seems to escape this way when filling from fresh. Kirk |

| RE: Overheating Richard Don't be too sure. Andy used to supply 2 core for Rovers and 3 core for US engines. Its worth checking out. Steve |
