crank shaft bolt

Can someone confirm that the crankshaft pully bolt is not a reverse thread. Manual does not say, so presumed it was normal but have broken a socket trying to get it off.

thanks

jeff

RE: crank shaft bolt

I have just been and checked a spare rover engine i have got and it is not a left hand thread. you can undo it anticlockwise as normal. Although it may need a short sharp smack on the bar from a hammer.
