exhaust headers

I am looking to buy headers for my RV8 and all all honesty the pilgrim headers do not look much more efficiant than the standard cast ones already on the engine and at £300 a set they are expensive . I intend to fit underslung pipes does any one know of a good supplier for a reasonable set of headers suitable for under slung system.

Regards
jeff

RE: exhaust headers

Steve,
Have you got a part number for the exhaust headers from Rimmers?
I've been on their web site and there are loads to choose from.
The prices start from £100 per side.

Do you have a photo that you can post showing them fitted?

Regards
Stuart

RE: exhaust headers

I have a set of tri-y headers off my old 4.6 setup (on a DAX) for underslung exhaust. They have 1 7/8" primaries & flow very well.
They are mild steel & got very rusty whilst in storage (got wet for a long time). I am sure they will clean up just fine (perhaps paint or ceramic coat) you can have them FOC if they are any good to you.
Baldric.

RE: exhaust headers

Jeff,
Sorry, slight delay in sending you the headers I promised.
Injured my leg during the week (seems to have effected my brain too)
& have not managed to arrange sending them.
Will get them to you next week.
