Dip-stick tube !!

Yet another question I'm afraid.

Should the dip stick tube have sealant around it where it enters the block ? There no rubber "O" ring shown in any of the diagrams I've looked at but the tube does not sit flush to the block as it enters at an angle. Therefore there's the possibility of getting cr*p down the sides of the tube.

Thanks

David

Re: Dip-stick tube !!

Hi David,

No "O" rings or sealer required here as the tube itself is a fairly snug fit in the block and nothing will get down past it.
Hope this helps
Jim
