Steve. Pick your poison. Calais is 100 miles further away from LM than Dieppe, Float some numbers and we'll sort a discount :thumb:

Re: Classic 06 Travel Arrangements

I wont need a ferry. I'll be travelling at warp speed, hitting the cliffs at Dover at sufficient speed in my daytona, that I will be propelled to the other side and land on french soil.

I considered Newhaven - Dieppe but my car sadly will be limited to 3000mph

Andy don't forget the other route through the tunnel for all the none swimmers.

We always use the tunnel, going thro' it at about 11/00 am on Thursday. I will be interested to see what tunnel prices people can find.....I usually buy tickets thro' Continental car Tours they are the cheapest I have been able to get. A mate of mine used to be able to get really cheap deals but that source dried up a few years ago.

Hi there Andy,

Please put me on the list for the Dover/Folkestone via Calais/Boulogne route.

Should have my Magnum back on the road soon. Working away doesn't leave much garage time !

many thanks from:thumb:

Andy,

Thanks, don't go to too much trouble but I have never really succeeded in getting cheap tunnel prices. In June this year we paid £159 per car return. I think the general rack rate is a lot higher than that but we used to be able to get, thro' my mate, £60 return per car...that door got closed unfortunately.

We are 9 cars at present looking to travel say mid-day Thursday and coming back 4/00pm - 5/00pm ish Monday.

David

Re: Classic 06 Travel Arrangements

Thanks for the numbers Dave.
All I will be doing middle of next week is contacting the various ferry companies ie Speed Ferries, Transmanche and EuroTunnel with approximate numbers for each and see if they will offer a discount, if so I will obtain a ref number or name and then post back on here with the results, after that it will be up to you guys to book your tickets, unfortunately I will not be able to do this for you.
