| Re: passport for france No it certianly 100% isn't. My wife travelled back from Nice to Leeds/Bradford 3 weeks ago on SlEazyjet and her passport expired ON THE DAY of the return journey to the UK. We called the French Embassy in London to confirm before the outward journey. ALL of the guidelines you'll find on ALL of the official websites are at least 4 years out of date and completely wrong (shock - horror - really?). Now the US is a different matter altogether - I say this from experience. Call the French Embassy in London to confirm if you have any doubt :thumb: When I called them they were clueless, when my wife tried her "pretty good A level french" they answered the question in full. I must stop shouting at foriegners

| Re: passport for france Ok. From the French Consulate website. You only need a passport valid for the length of your stay :thumb: http://www.consulfrance-londres.org/...id_article=376

| Re: passport for france Like Chris said in the EU you are OK. For the USA you need at least 6 months. As it happens I just received my renewed passport yesterday. :thumb:

| Re: passport for france You are not required to have 6 months left. It's only a suggestion in case you fall ill and have to stay longer than expected. Which means if it was a package holiday you travel agent will have lots of work to do to get you back so they ask their customers to have this 6 month buffer |

| Re: passport for france For the US you need to be non-Asian/French/Human... Having spent more time than most at US immigration/security, you can see why the Americans get such a bad wrap worldwide
