New track day venue in Suffolk

Just had an email from Javellin Track days.

New Venue at RAF Woodbridge. They have a day going on the 9th September at £109 all in with an open pit lane format.

Could be tempting.

Re: New track day venue in Suffolk

know my 289 kicks out 105db from a trackside measurement at donnington but I can get it down to 98db with my add on silencers. Of course for those with side pipes it is not so easy. I have bee thinking of a way to attach supertraps onto sidepipes.

Re: New track day venue in Suffolk

Well Super traps are a very efficient form of silencer that consists of a series of plates held apart by washers. These dissipate the soud out radially and can often be added to or modified to specific engine requirements.
The trouble is that they are designed to go straight into the end of a pipe and side pipes have the radius. Also side pipes come in a multitude of diameters and end radiuses etc.
I had been thinking that if I could scheme up a reliable and flexible attachment system then a few sets could be made available to club members for track days etc.
I just have not had the time or urgency to think more about it. As you can see from the pic I have already solved my noise problem for track so the urgency has gone for the time being.
