Camping for Silverstone Classic & Infield passes

No Idea if anyone has started to organise things or not yet, but the site recommended to me is "Whittlebury Park" Contact details are 01327 858092. This information is also in the last edition of Snake Torque ( although they have called it Whittlebury Hall ) so if we all want to try to camp in the same place Whittlebury Park is going to be the official site for the Club now.

As far as the infield passes are concerned these will all be sent out to me and if it is all done the same as last year I will not get them until 2 weeks before the event. On the basis of this, if you want to park your Cobras on the official site in the infield area ( which of course you all will) you will need to send me a self addressed envelope with a first class stamp on ( due to the time scale ) with a note clearly stating exactly what you are after 3 day tickets or which single day tickets you will need and I will post them out to you as soon as I get them. Just make sure you don't forget the self addressed envelopes.

If all goes wrong dont worry as on the day I will have some spare tickets on me so you can always come in and find me and I will give you some tickets so that you can go and get your cars and bring them in. )

Camping Silverstone

Hi All

Not sure what Whittlebury hall offers in the range of camping, but checked with the missus and it was Whittlebury Park that she spoke too.

Its a walk from the Park to the circuit so i'm told!!

It would be advantageous to organise a block booking, as they have agreed to organise extra facilities if that was the case. Not sure how many numbers you normally gather for these events???

Hi Tinka

Is this going to be the main camp site that the club is going to use, so as to make it a sociable evening as well as day ? .

Ta Rich
Quite correct Rich just rang the number that was printed in Snake torque and it is for Whittlebury Park although listed as Whittlebury Hall. Never thought to check that the names were not mixed up. To stop any confusion I have changed the initial post accordingle.

Just to clarify It is in fact WHITTLEBURY PARK that we will be using as the official venue, Sorry for any confusion caused.

spoke to these chaps, they are charging £30 for the full camping through the weekend, 1 tent , 1 car, upto 4 people per tent

I asked about a group discount, they offered if we book 10 pitches that the organiser would go free.

I think Tinka, as you have organised this so far, you might like top take up this offer and save yourself a little cash

Can I suggest that nobody books till we get a group together, at least we can ensure we have pitches that are together, and Tinka has decided if he wants the "organisers" discount

Steve
