Brake Problem! Can you help?

[size=6]Hi all,
I have a Magnum Cobra 1967 but as I have not used the car for 10 months the nsf brake locks on after just 5 pumps of the pedal!
I have had new rear callipers fitted, and the front brake cylinder had new rubbers, bleed the brakes but still the problems there! To free the wheel we have to realise the pressure on the nipple and the wheels is free again!
Its not a problem with the rear brake cylinder as we by passed it and the problem was still there!
Can anyone help?
Many thanks Kev

One possibility I have heard of is the flexible brake lines breaking down inside and causing a blockage so the break fluid cant get back to the reservoir, effectively locking that wheel on. The other possibility is if the pedal can not get back to the fully off position there is a valve in the master cylinder which wont release causing the same problem you describe.

A friend of mine has suffered the same on his tintop. Mechanic said it is not unusual for flexible hoses to wear from the inside out. Take off the offending hose and see if you can blow air down it (with airline or compressor of some sort), comapre it to the good side and see the difference is air resistance.
Cheers
Kevin

I would also check the hoses you have, they do look a bit past their sell by date.
