DUXFORD CAR CLUB DAY AUGUST 19th

DUXFORD IS JCT 10 OF THE M11

EVERYONE WELCOME, THE MORE THE MERRIER

DUXFORD IMPERIAL WAR MUSEUM ARE HAVING A CAR CLUB DAY ON THE 19TH AUG 2007 , SO WEATHER SHOULD BE GOOD , I’VE HAD A NAG WITH THEM AND THEY HAVE SAID THE COBRA CLUB ARE MORE THEN WELCOME TO ATTEND, BUT THEY NEED A ROUGH IDEA ON NUMBERS, SO WHO’S UP FOR IT ?
IT WORKS OUT £9 PER PERSON INSTEAD OF THE NORMAL PRICE OF £14.95 PER PERSON, THIS COVERS FULL ACCESS TO THE WHOLE MUSEUM.
PAY AT THE GATE ON THE DAY, NO NEED TO BOOK OR PAY IN ADVANCE.
GATES OPEN 9.30AM-CLOSE AT 6PM.
WE’LL HAVE A SEPARATE ENTRANCE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, WE GAIN ENTREE VIA GATE 1.

OUR CARS ALONG WITH THE OTHER CLUBS WILL BECOME PART OF THE MUSEUMS ATTRACTIONS FOR THE DAY.
LAST YEAR THEY ALSO HAD THE 7 CLUB, GOLDWING CLUB, JAG CLUB AND AN ASTON CLUB, AND A CLASSIC CAR CLUB ATTENDING ON THE SAME DAY .

we'll probably try to arrange a convoy and drive up together again.

Should be all systems go for me on this one too. Just getting plates sorted after V5 and Insurance sorted (Perhaps I'll have a few shorter runs out first to make sure nothing falls off !!)

for those that want to convoy from Mcdonalds ( jct 7 M11), i recon we should meet up at 9.30 and leave there at 9.45am, that should get us to Duxford at around 10 ish

dont forget to bring your chairs and a picnic

Hi,
Anybody got any recomendations for accomodation in the Duxford area with secure parking? I would love to make the trip and call in to see John Kerr with a case of Stella on the way up.

this hotel is in Buckhurst hill, 5 mins from M25 and about half hour from Duxford but at least from here you could join in with the convoy up it has a nice pub next door that does a lovely carvery and you'd have Epping forest, Thunder rd cars, Dax & Hallmark cars all just 2 mins down the road. http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ex/...ine_Directory-
