A word of warning guys, there seemed to be quite a few Police with handheld speed cameras when I drove through France and back at Christmas. It looked like there were more than I have seen on previous trips.
We also found a few years ago that they were also only taking fines in cash, when asked for a reciept the hand cuffs were waved about.

Didnt do French at school so not sure what this meant.

Also heard lots of stories about this, owners being frog marched off to ATM's, no receipts, and owners complaining that they were not even speeding.

Something to look forward too I suppose .

Best travelling in groups ???

I got a receipt when I was caught......and I might have been speeding. On a single carriageway French road it is not hard to speed.
