If you wanted to add a voluntary contribution towards the website I would have no problem with paying that.

Craig.
The ad funds are based on the bid price and clicking frenzy would not be good as google track stuff like that.

Crc?

Hi

Couple of ideas from someone who has been to a few kit car shows, ogled cobras for years, bought a kit and spent a year (so far) building it

1. What is the CRC? - where could I find information about it? What would membership bring? (....get the point?)?
2. Agree with the earlier post, if there was a "voluntary" contibution option for this website I would definately pay. I think you might be surpised (and maybe it would restore a little faith) at how many people would volunteer to pay.

Cheers
Rob.

If it is true what so many people say ("I could never have done it without the help from the forum") then that has a value.
If you wanted technical advice from the Superformance Cars Owners Forum, you are not even allowed to join that forum until you have taken delivery of your Superformance car - i.e. put your money where your mouth is. £twenty-odd seems little by comparison.

MHO is all.
So... if people couldn't have done it without the forum then that must represent a value to the various manufacturers? I only finally decided to go ahead with a build after lurking on here for a while and realising how much help would be available.

Therefore, how about seeing if the kit manufacturers would donate the first years membership to a technically restricted forum? It must be in their interests to keep the CRC going.

I appreciate that this might be a bit like drug dealing...... i.e get them hooked first........

Simon

Ditto, have a sampler free period to get a taste of the great service and knowledge database unsurpassed anywhere else. I'd be only too happy to pay for the forum use. Without it where would we be. ( just don,t let this damm govt. tax us for it).

Just to put my tuppence in........

When I came here over 5 years ago, I was of the (mistaken) belief that I couldn't post on the forum until I had joined the club.
I gladly joined, figured out that I was being a muppet and registered here and also started going to my local meets.

The club has given me a huge amount in return for my measly £25 a year, including some very close friends and an enormous amount of information and help. Not to mention the £200+ I have saved in Insurance costs.
I think anyone who doesn't join is not looking at the bigger picture, but hey, each to his own.

ahem. As I am mechanically incompetent, all I can do is offer moral support.

From what I've heard you also give immoral support to our local leader.
