A great opportunity to get out in the car as the roads will be deserted!

I'm firmly with DB on this one.
Total waste of time. They're all a bunch of over paid, under educated cretins that learned how to kick a ball about by sciving off school.
They aren't in the game for the love of or the passion for it, they're in it for the money and that isn't what sport is about IMO. Don't get me wrong, I think the same goes for F1 drivers as well.

Light blue touch paper, stand well back.

Rant over.
+1

Id rather watch paint dry; than a load of overpaid puffs kicking a ball around; completely gay...

Why Grandad, don't know as was dead before I was born.

Before anyone starts on the glory hunting rant... If that were true, I would support Liverpool as they won everything when I was growing up in the 70's.

I love the game and am happy to support from my armchair. Cant wait for tomorrow night. Feel nervous already.

Come on you reds.

and for the record, the team with most English players will be the ones in red shirts.
Fair point - a family historic southern reds supporter - I can understand that - but supporting the team with most English players - they play in Blue surely ?

With Dave on this one too, footy is not a game it's a religion! which is sad.

Born and brought up in Manchester and a red through and through. I watched the first European Cup win at my Gran's and the second while working late. This time I'll be at my mate's place with a load of us and plenty of beer.

Come on you Reds!!!

You know it makes sense.

Why is there so much hype over our so called national sport when we haven't done anything decent since 1966.

God we can't even make it into Europe because our national team is so bad. All our clubs buy players from other countries so English players will never make a decent national team.

At least our national team at Rugby Union made a decent effort. Won in 2003 and runners up in 2007.

Touch paper lit... standing back!

Iain,

I dont think any of the footie fans can muster a good defense; as you point out theres been very little to shout about!! The sun is supporting Poland in Euro2008, says it all.

If football is our national sport then we are doomed as a country...pathetic
