Reims Grand Prix Revival

Hi Everyone,

The Reims Grand Prix Revival this year is from Friday 12th September to the Sunday the 14th September.

See 2e WeekEnd de l Excellence Automobile de Reims - 12,13,14 septembre 2008

The Weekend of the Automobile Excellence in Reims” it has already become a key meeting place for historical car gatherings. Area : Circuit of Gueux in Champagne

Demonstrations of Competition Cars.
Competition automobiles in demonstration must be constructed before 1969, the date of the last race on the Gueux circuit.
Each vehicle will be driven 2 to 4 times over the weekend.
They will be divided into categories: F1, F2, F3, Endurance and Prototype, Silhouette and Rally, Motorcycle.

Automobiles Exhibitions : 400 Club cars are expected this year, exhibited by brand and model. They must be historical or prestige cars.

They have paddock parking for car clubs during the weekend & also the possibility of driving on the old circuit.

I have been in touch with the organisors & they are willing to set aside some club parking next to the track for us but need to know how many are coming.

So guys, who's interested in a group trip to Reims ? ? ?

Could be a fun weekend with a chance to drive on another of Europes historic circuits.

If a few of you are interested in this let me know as soon as possible so that I can get back to the organisors, after that we can sort out ferries, booking entry tickets, etc.

Bye for now,

As an addition to the above see Homepage: Continental Car Tours, Classic Rally Tours, Classic, Europe, UK Breaks for some information.

They are almost booked up at the hotel they use in Reims but say they can help with other bookings if enough of us want to go. ( probably eight people or more )

Their bookings include ferry, hotel, circuit admission, owners club paddock parking for the Saturday & the Sunday, group meal on first evening.

If people want to camp then enquiries will have to be made.

I could be up for this, especially if come back Sunday evening. Close to Calais so should be doable.
