| Stoneleigh Kit Car Show: Sunday and Monday 3rd & 4th May 2009 Stoneleigh Kit Car Show: Sunday and Monday 3rd & 4th May 2009. As in the previous 2 years we will be organising a competition on the Sunday to allow all members to enter and judge the best Cobra in class. There will be 3 categories and any car can enter, but to receive the prize you must be a paid up member. The three categories will be Best Interior, Best Under Bonnet and Best Cobra at Show, each winning a commemorative plaque as well as an item of regalia or motor sport related item. There will be a prize giving in the afternoon around 3 o’clock to give the lucky winners their plaques and prizes. Last year the winner received a brand new copy of the fantastic book; ‘Route 66’, and this year we hope to have a similar gifts to give away. Judging will be open to the public as well as members to ensure a fair competition. In addition to the competition there will be a tent where complimentary tea and coffee will be available, as well as items of regalia and back issues of Snake Torque. It is also an opportunity to renew membership and just to come and say hello, have a chat and a cuppa! The AGM is also being held on the Sunday at 1pm. Please do try to come along and support the club and share your views, ideas or criticisms. The Club can only be as good as the members make it – so please do try and spare an hour of your time on the day. It is always an informative meeting with some lively debate – reserve a space in your diary now!
