RE: Le Mans 2001

Great Rob,

Are you going with a crowd? Will there be other Cobra owners there? I will be camping, of course, with 3 other guys - 1 Audi TT & 1 TR6. No Cobra this year, she is up on stands getting an engine rework. I am having a little difficulty getting Ford Cleveland bits so I won't make it this year in the Cobra.

I wouldn't mind meeting up for a cool beer and a gander at any cars that are there, what do you think? No problem if it's a hassle, there's plenty to keep me amused !!!

Cheers

Mike Fisher

RE: Le Mans 2001

I think we ought to organise something for the Saturday, as there are quite a few from the Club going down.

RE: Le Mans 2001

Sounds great !!

Is there an 'official' club party travelling down, or is it ad-hoc? Either way we could perhaps arrange to meet at one of the camp sites on a 'bring-your-own-and-dont-expect-too-much' basis.

I'm up for it anyway, let me know

Mike

I am not aware of a club thing going on, more a regional like minded lot.

I will be there (6th visit). This year 16 of us; my 289, 2xTVR (including a new spd. six Tuscan), 2xMerc SLK's, 1xAudi TT,1 other merc. Always great to see cobra's down there in force, hope to meet some of you. CRC used to meet at the supermarket at the end of Mulsanne Straight, I can remember getting soaked down there one year. If a meet is fixed I will try to come if it fits in with wine and food shedule.

RE: Le Mans 2001

Rob et al

How about meeting on Saturday lunch (early ie before the start @ 4pm). I can suggest 2 venues;

1 Arnage Village, main St. Good pubs, reasonable parking, easy to find, loads of cars at lunch prior to the race.

2 Someones Camp site plot, I do not have mine yet (on order), although I expect to be in the trees somewhere. BRING YER OWN!!

Either way I would like to meet up somewhere
