RE: Thames Valley Meetings

Morning Garry,

our mails must have crossed. Know the pub in question and
have been in once or twice over the last five years or so.
Great if we can "start" something local as I have tried Espom and good as it is - it is a trek!
Good to drive around the Chilterns - good roads and good pubs!

Grant.

Hi Mike,

That's the plan we are meeting at Duxford on Sunday to set up a
schedule. Will let you know after that. Are you going on Sunday?
We are meeting at Chalfont St Giles at 09.15.
Cheers

RE: Thames Valley Meetings

Hi All - Garry, Roger, Eric, Steve and partners,

Well - what a great day it was!!!!!!!!!! Sorry that I had
to run - but needs must when the other half demands!

The christening was "hot and sticky" but children behaved so not
all a bad thing.
One hour and 15 mins return journey - I went the direct route bac!!! No traffic and that time included a stop for fuel.
Thanks for the push (hope that Eric is OK - I must lose some weight or fix the
starter!).

It was good to meet up at last with some "locals" who enjoy Cobras and I hope that we can get something going on a regular basis.

Anyway enough waffle - thanks for a great day and hope to see you soon,

All the Best,

Grant.

RE: Thames Valley Meetings

Hi Grant, Roger, Eric, Steve

Just echoing Grant's comments about meeting up on Sunday. I thought it was brilliant, 5 cob's travelling through the Chilterns, way past what I could have hoped for, really pleased to have met everybody.

We now have 2 venues in the Thames Valley to meet in future, Mortimer and Chalfont St Giles, so no excuses for lack of venue, and the turnout for our first meet was excellent, however there are still some more of you out there, come on lads we don't bite we are a really friendly crew.

Once again Roger, thanks for kickstarting the Thames Valley meet.

We will post here soon the next meet, which I believe will be at Mortimer in approximately 3 weeks time. Roger will confirm.

Those who went on Sunday we have your contact details, so will get in touch direct, for those who are just visiting this post, come back and check the date and time and please join us.

regards

Garry

RE: Thames Valley Meetings

Hi Everyone,

What can I say, just a very big "Ditto" for what Grant & Gary have already said.

The day was fantastic, the company the same,
other than Cobs think how much we all had in common !!

I thought that Sunday August 18 might be a good future date for the 'TVM',
if you want to arrive at The Fox & Horn between 11.00 & 11.30
we will start with Coffee etc. before we open at 12.00.

Directions are simple M4 J11 South on A33 for 400yds third exit on roundabout 'Mortimer' 4.5 miles mini roundabout straight over, we are 100yds on the right.

We all look forward to meeting any Cob owner in the area,
if you know someone, please let them know.

All the best,
