Hello all...
Last Sunday (25th)I went a cruisin' up to the monthly meet at the Crown & Cushion, Great Gransden, Sandy, Beds, to be the only snake there! To make matters worse the carpark was half full of so called "classic" motors, all pretending to be concourse winners. So I pull in and instantly I'm as popular as speed camera. Never mind I'll park up & get the missus and I the ole' three course Sunday dins, it's a nice day so we'll eat outside. Nice enough meal, Lot's of punters asking about the Snake, Fired it up + revved it for the boy racers to have dreams about & generally showed it off.
Then the missus tells me she's just been told there's a free lunch for two for the best car, judging around 2.30pm, Excellent, I've got to win!!!! No-ones paying any attention to the others, only the Snake.
I was foiled!!! The barlady appears and asks MY MISSUS to do the judging!!!!!!
She just could not do it!!! She had to vote for something else, we were totally kippered by the classic clique.
Anyway, I've tried Phil Ginn's Email, and telephone, to no avail, so if anyone knows where this meet is these days, drop me a message please!!!
