Thames Valley Meeting for October 2002

Hi Everybody

First of all, thanks to everyone who turned up at the Merlins Cave, Chalfont St Giles, Bucks on Sunday 22nd Sept for the September meet. It was great to meet two new Cobra owners Ray and Lindsay and Linda (love the paintwork Lindsay).

5 Cobra's and quite a few admirers, superb considering other TVMer's were unable to make the day.
Thanks also to Eric & Liz, Clive & Deb for taking the time to appear, and also the great smile of satisfaction on young Grant's face after Clive had given him a demonstration run in his Cobra.

Had a chat with Roger on Sunday evening and the next Thames Valley meeting is Sunday 13th October at Roger's place The Fox & Horn in Stratfield Mortimer for 11am. I am sure Roger will confirm date and time via this thread and some form drive in the area.

Hopefully we can get the other cob's together to make at least 8, after all we have only 2 meetings so far which both have been a resounding success.

Sorry I could not make it yesterday, pleased that we had some new Cobras at your place.
October 13th works for us, after coffee at 11.00,we will find somewhere in the Berkshire or Hampshire Downs to go, great driving country!!

Garry, great day Sunday matey, thank you for all your efforts Sherrie & yourself have made re getting this area started.Looking forward to a visit to Sratfield Mortemer on the 13th of next month at Roger & Treva's (Fox & Horn) place , hope it's not a Friday!!!!!??

Would have replied earlier but could not get into this old green strip on the left. Should be there if everything is okay with the car after Goodwood on the 12th!!?? Got to take Clive round, his car is just too loud!! (What a whimp!)

Hello Folks,

long time no see - SORRY!!!!!
With holidays and a little bundle of fun "Imogen" keeping
us up at night - I have been somewhat busy!!!
October 13th sounds great - also my birthday, so if nothing
has been arranged by the BOSS I shall be there - also
weather permitting - as I have no roof!
Hope that everyone is fit and well and look forward to
meeting the new TVM at The Fox and Horn.

Eric, Sorry I missed you at Goodwood - how did it go?

The weather and a broken windscreen in my 306 conspired to keep me busy until after lunch and then it still looked decidely dodgy!
