booked my ticket

Hi all
I`ve just booked my ticket to come over to England for a weekend
Going to a wedding on Saturday 5th October
Does anybody know if there is anything cobra related going on on Sunday 6th within a couple of hours drive of Lincolnshire?
(cobra meet or show etc)

Thanks in advance guys

RE: booked my ticket

The only event I can find on the net is RWYB at Santapod on Sunday.
Are there any cobs going by any chance?
I would really like to see a bit of action.
I`m getting really impatient waiting until I am in a position to build one for myself ! x( x( x( x(

RE: booked my ticket

Also on the 5 and 6 Oct is the Doorslammer internationals at Shakespeare Raceway near Stratford. This is a new meeting for all the guys that normally run at RWYBs, but is being run on a heads up, knock-out basis with 5 or 6 classes based on expected ETs. I have entered my Cob in the 11.7 sec street class and there are normally three or four other Cobras at the meetings I go to. I will be running on Sunday, assuming of course that I qualify on Saturday!!

RE: booked my ticket

Wilf,

Long Marston Airfield just south of Stratford on the B4632.

Saturday 10 till 6, sunday 11 till 5.

Probably don't need a gofor (have girly for fetching cups of tea and burgers!), but a push in the staging lane is always appreciated!

Maybe see you there, don't know what the weather is supposed to be doing but if it's at all damp they don't run at all. Slicks and wet tarmac don't go together very well - especially for some of the 1000hp monster engined ROAD cars that will be there .

Russ

X marks the spot!!
