East Mids Christmas Lunch

'Hello' to all those who made it to the lunch today in Kirby Muxloe and another 'hello' to those who couldn't make it.

Thanks to everyone for making it a really good afternoon. Over thirty people came to enjoy some good food, great company, and Christmas cheer! There were no cobras present, although this was no surprise given the rather horrid weather we had today. From the many positive comments I received, I think I can safely say that everyone enjoyed themselves.

I wish everyone a great Christmas and New Year and look forward to seeing the 'gang' in 2003! The next meeting is on 26th January instead of the 19th as Helen and I are off skiing for a week. ( Hard life isn't it!)We will meet at The Castle Hotel in Kirby Muxloe at 11am as usual.
See you then...

Martin :+
P.S. Thanks again for the Champagne and Christmas card!

RE: East Mids Christmas Lunch

Sorry to have missed you guys, I was busy making the Xmas run to the fossils, but it sounds like you had a great time anyway. And no, I didn't drive down to the South Coast in the Cobra! Just as well since someone decided that the M1 would be a good place to run into the back of a car 3 cars behind me, pushing them all into me. Fortunately no damage to my car worth bothering about, just 2 hours delay.
First time I have ever been breathalysed!! (and no, the light did not even budge off the green).

RE: East Mids Christmas Lunch

Great minds think alike. I was doing a spot of Xmas Palaeontology myself. Glad to hear it all went OK despite the horrendous weather & sorry to have missed the knees up. I'll be skiing too next time Martin so perhaps will make Feb.
Thanks for your continuing efforts to organise us
Cheers

Richard

See you in Jan.

My Son had a toy steering wheel which he used to spin furiously, making loads of go-faster noises, leaning into all the tight corners, perhaps running the government feels a bit like that. You make all the noises, but when you stop you haven't really gone anywhere.
