The German Cobra club can get you a parking ticket that will give access to the Cobra Club parking that is conveniently close to the track for €17 and additionally can provide a simple breakfast for €3 per person on the Saturday and Sunday if booked in advance. You can also camp in the parking area. You will also need to buy a pass at the track that will give you access to the seating areas and the pits. Costs are shown on the website above. In addition to seeing some great classic cars racing and browsing the pits etc you can also drive the famous Nordschleife, guaranteed to be memorable.

So if you want me to book tickets for you please send me a PM with:
- your name
- make of Cobra and license number (they do accept bookings from non Cobras but hell that's not the point!)
- number of breakfast tickets needed
- your mailing address in the UK

I need to get booking details to the German club (and money paid) by 15th July latest so will close bookings from here on July 8th. I accept payment by Paypal and the costs to you will be the parking ticket, plus however many breakfast tickets you need plus mailing cost.

We hadn't pre-booked (out of the habit with all the rubbish weather we get / wasted booking fees) but just turned up. We gave the usual, " Morning, we've just turned up, can we pay on the gate?" Answer was "If yer've not gorra pass yer not gerrin in!" Oh dear and thank you very much! Not even a 'sorry its because of .... whatever' - just a pair of rude oafs.

On Sunday we went to the Yorkshire Thoroughbred Car Club show at Locke Park in Barnsley - again not pre-booked. What a different attitude. "Are you a late entry?" Yes. "Welcome to the show, £3 please" (same as the pre-book fee and the same for the last umpteen years), then experienced marshalls directing you to the right spot - smiles all round. Lots of interesting cars, smiling people, very nice surroundings, fairgound, stalls, bits of entertainment and rare for Yorkshire - sunshine. Well done YTCC and Locke Park. We've been for a few years now and look forward to the next one.

The event starts at 12 and goes on till 2pm (runs on later in the summer).

If my last track day is anything to go by, I loved it. My car is nice n loud and was within the 105 limit.
It was safe, well spaced out and what these cars are about and made for! Worth ever penny.

i`ve just had a drive out to Lymm and the garden centre at High Legh in the tin top with the missus, we had a nice lunch in a village tea shop, when we noticed the Lymm village life magazine they have.Well on reading in it about the Lymm Festival we try and go to every year, there is a big advert for an Historic Transport Show on Sunday June 23rd, and there seems to be places for a few more cars.
Now in my case its obviously weather dependant, but i`am tempted to enter it anyway and see what happens, there is also an application for clubs stands too, only they seem to say the places are getting booked quick.
Even if i don`t make it in mine it still looks like a great event, here`s the link.
