anti virus

my computer has a severe dislike of norton antivirus 2004,since being installed it has given me no end of problems ,can someone give me some better recommendations or advice on these matters please and preferred software

McAfee works well for me :thumb: I too had a nightmare with Norton, and ran with no installed AV for over a year. I just ran a weekly check with a free AV from Panda Software http://www.pandasoftware.com

If it just an antivirus you want, Go get Antivir http://www.free-av.com/ its free and has been running on my system for 5 years and it has saved me hundreds of times. And its FREE! :thumb:
Uses Minimal system recources. I swear by it and with any anti Virus, update it every week or every 2 days!

Thanks for the tip, I'll try it.

I've been impressed with the new McAfee 7.1 on XP systems. It blocks virus's and spyware and pops up a message immediately so you know which website it came from.

I was running Internet security 2005 but it slows your computer down so much it's unbelievable.

I am now running AVG free which so far has been much better and as already stated, it's free! :thumb: :thumb:

Norton is a real resource hog, I can recommend NOD32, excellent performance and lean on resources...
