Animated Image Help

Help Please,
I’ve received a joke e-mail with a great animated image that I’d like to save.
Problem is that, when I try to save it, my computer thinks it’s a bitmap image and will therefore not save it as an animation but just one still frame out of the animated sequence.

Is anybody willing to unravel this for me?

Den.

Re: Animated Image Help

Wish I could!
When I attempt to 'save as' my computer only gives me a bitmap option. That's why I'm asking for help.
There's a reward on offer!

Re: Animated Image Help

I'm using Microsoft Outlook.
No I've not tried saving as BMP then changing to GIF. I'll give that a go.

Re: Animated Image Help

Tried changing it from BMP to GIF. Result is a still rather than an animation.

Den. If it's the same mail I got. It's a WMV file. My PC saved it as such

Re: Animated Image Help

You could try right clicking, view source, find the URL of the image in the text and pasting this directly into a web browser.

You should then be able to save from there.

Re: Animated Image Help

Hi Grease Monkey.
I tried viewing the source, but I simply couldn't identify the URL.

Hi Chris,
The picture in question is of a group of blokes. I think two of them are are fcukruss and smash - I don't know who the others are.

Tell you what - Liz will enjoy it so I'll e-mail it to you.
If anybody else wants to see it, I'll need your e-mail address.

As I said, there's a reward for anybody who can return me the image in a form i can use on my web-site.

Den
