Dopey member renewal question

Hi All

Am trying to renew membership and thought I had the online thing sussed. However, it says I can't be Warren as a Warren already exists. I know, cos it's me!

Can I just send a cheque? And where too before I am ejected for non payment.

The reasons for not simply digging out a copy of SnakeTorque are too long and tedious to enter into here.

Cheers
Warren

Do a search on membership, all will become clear, I think you have to add 99 behind warren. :thumb:

Re: Dopey member renewal question

Sorry to be a pain but I've been trying since the original thread was posted to renew membership.
I've tried as robinj66 and robinj6699 and have used the password previously given (7 numbers). The system doesn't like the password under either name and won't let me login. I also get the error message stating that the e-mail address is already in use.

Can you help? (Please)

PS I am not particularly computer literate .

You are already registered on the membership system.

Go to http://www.cobraclub.com/membership/member.php and use the lost password function. You will then be able to log in and add a subscription.

Re: Dopey member renewal question

Rob,

Not sure if this helps or hinders but I renewed my membership last night but was initially refused entry at the membership renewal login screen. This was using my normal login name and password.
I hit the "forgotten password" prompt and was mailed immediately with a reminder, but not a password that I recognised as ever having had.
However, this new one did get me in, I did renew OK then changed the p/w back to what I had originally.

Maybe some of the problems experienced by others have been similar.

If it is an account I set up for you manually, then the membership software would have generated a random password for you, and sent an email with the password enclosed to your email address prompting you to change it.

Re: Dopey member renewal question

Maybe I'm wrong. But I'm sure the Forum and the Shop use different passwords. Could this be where the confusion is arising?

Re: Dopey member renewal question

Sorry, but have tried all the ways suggested to pay my membership on line but cannot get passed the login. Will not accept my password. Got a new password and still no luck. Nothing to do with this, but, why do I find I have been logged out sometimes as I am reading the forum.
