| Re: New Computer I would use the old hard drive and fit it the new PC as a slave drive. Then you could use Windows Explorer to transfer everything across via drag & drop. If you cannot open the case of the new one then get a USB to IDE cable and plug it in that way. (or Usb to SATA deoending upon the drive type) Probably the easiest and quickest way.

| Re: New Computer Be careful - I've a feeling you need a special USB-USB cable for this method. How do you access the internet? If it's through a router you can transfer files over the network. Give me a call...

| Re: New Computer If you do want to out the old drive in to copy stuff over, Easiest IMHO, you need to make sure you select SLAVE on the back of the drive with the little jumper provided! This way you have direct access to your drive and fast transfers. http://www.dansdata.com/sbs27.htm :thumb: Link is a bit old, as they talk about win 2000 but it describes how to do it well. Once you have Windows installed, you can access your slave to copy what ever you want!
