System Restore
B****y computers

Anybody any ideas why my system restore check points dissappear when I turn of the computer.

Windows defender puts them in automatically and when I put one in manually, the next time I turn the computer on they have all gone, there's not one left anywhere.

Hi Mike
Why are you putting them in manually? Normally the ones that defender put in are fine.
I will ask around work today if i get chance.

Check that you have allocated enough hard disk space to allow them to be saved.

Start/programs/accessories/system tools/system restore

Click "system restore settings" on the left of the screen & then "settings" in the middle of the next screen. Make you allocate enough space.

I tried a few manually to see if they dissapeared like the Windows Defender one's. :thumb:

Are you running more than one version of windows?

The above faq mentions this.

You have allocated max, but is your hard disk full by any chance?
