Which printer for CDs

I'm after a new ink jet printer @£50-60 for general use and to print onto Cd's.

I know there are a couple of Epsons and Canons that will do Cd's
are there any others, and which is the best one to go for, IYO of course.

I did get a Canon IP4200 but its going back because the paper constantly jammed on loading, is this common, or are Canons still worth a look [possibly the IP4300].

Ta in advance :thumb:

How do you get the CD to roll round the roller, like paper does?

Re: Which printer for CDs

I've got an Epson R300 photo printer (now discontinued) - it comes with a plastic CD holder fixture to print directly on to the discs.

The Epson R265 does the same. rrp £90

Rich

I don`t know an answer to your question, sorry
I thought if I keep replying, it would keep the thread to the top of the page, meaning a better chance that someone sensible would see it and reply
Just trying to be helpful :thumb:

Floppies don`t work either, I just tried
If you find out which printer is a good one, let me know - mine`s broke now

Rich

I have been thinking of changing, I have a Cannon i550 which has given me good service for the last 3 yrs, also very economical on ink, I have been considering the Epson R220 or a little bit more expensive the Cannon ip 5200. :thumb:

Re: Which printer for CDs

That's roughly the two i've been looking at Mike,
from what i have heard the ip4300 is basically a re-badged ip5200 but the price has come down slightly.

Re: Which printer for CDs

Hello Rich

IMHO (for what it's worth) get the Epson. I've had one for years and it's never given me any problems at all.
