Slow Website

Is anyone else experiencing problems with the speed of this website. It is taking several minutes to open any page on this website - no other website is this slow so not my PC. This is very frustrating - any ideas?

Im having similar trouble need to hit the refresh page to get the page to open sometimes.

All other sites are fine

and you are both on AOL. Other members have moved from AOL due to issues AOL have with serving up a significant number of sites properly.

Hello Robert, Yes I am on AOL, but it has been fine up until about 2 weeks ago. Any other website I go on is also fine, it just seems to be the Cobra Club site. Thanks Chris

Its not a problem with the server/site as it is serving pages without a problem.

I'm on AOL and it's very quick, in fact virtually instant and I'm only on 1mb. :thumb:

Guys.
The Site has been painfully slow for me for weeks. I suspected AOL but other members don't have a problem. I seems however to be a regional thing. I (yesterday) migrated from AOL to BT and now the site is faster than it's ever been!!
As a bonus. I signed up to the top BT package, and recieved a free wireless router, hub phone (free calls evenings and weekends) AND it's £5 a month cheaper than AOL. :thumb:

Yes Mate. But you also have proper roads down there Not the Cart Tracks they deem to call roads up here

Are you using the wireless router or have you stayed with the old modem. :thumb:

AOL is so shite they even have a webmasters section which lets webmasters know how to code for their browser system. Webmaster.info brings information to webmasters of AOL partners as well as non-partners who want to enhance their sites for AOL membership viewing.

And therefore serve bad code to IE and Firefox. Yeah, of course I will code my pages to 5% of the user population of the net within AOL, just to pander to some ISP that can't be botherd to use cross browser compatibility.
